sandy motor regs
I know that there are no motors above dabney...does that include electrics? I can't seem to find the answer on the oregon marine website.
thanks

Re: sandy motor regs
Is it Dabney or the Stark St. Bridge? I was told that I would be cited if I motored anywhere above SS Bridge.

Re: sandy motor regs
My dad just recently checked with the state marine board on the same issue and electric motors are not legal above dabney park.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Read the regs, it's Dabney. But everytime I run my sled above the Stark Street Bridge (to start fising the head of the hole under the bridge), I start getting called some nasty names from bankies and drift boaters that don't know the regs very well. So I just stay below the bridge to keep my blood pressure under control

Re: sandy motor regs
Amahnee-
The deadline for motors is dabney park. Although most people observe it at the stark street bridge

Re: sandy motor regs
P.S. I don't want to start a war with the jet guy's, but why don't they do the same thing on he Clack? Can you imagine what an enjoyable drift that would be if there were no motors above Carver?

Re: sandy motor regs
NWR,same logic as not being able to fish out of a DB above the power lines. ODFW does not care how the fish are landed,so long as it's taken with in the regs. Sandy should be DB only from Dodge Park to Dabney.

Re: sandy motor regs
A buddy of mine fishes the Sandy a lot, and he told me the Stark Street Bridge used to be the deadline. They opened it up to Dabney a few years ago because of the boat launch there. Before you could only launch driftboats there because of the restriction. Now you can launch any boat, as long as you head downstream.
