Default Secret Smoked Salmon Dip

Well Its that time of year and this question usually comes up so I thought I'd beat those question askers to the punch... Now this is Aunt Wetaline's secret dip so don’t go wasting any of it.... and its oooohhhh sooooooo gooooood.

2 cubes cream cheese
1 bunch of green onions (chopped w/ stems)
1-2 pieces smoked salmon (crumpled)
Couple dashes lemon juice (to taste)
Couple dashes Worcestershire (to taste)

Toss it all in an oversized bowl, throw on some latex gloves and start squishing, squeezing, and smashing till its all smooshed together... remove from oversize bowl, put it in something to serve it on..... grab a box of wheat thins... and presto!!

*note you can make any serving size you want, just adjust to taste... never have had exact measurements so it always varies just a bit...

If you want to try a little twist to this add about a couple of teaspoons of horseradish and some crushed pecans.

I found that if don't use the latex gloves, then you can carry around a snack with you the rest of the day!

I never use to use the latex gloves, till one day i was making my dip for a dinner party. I had been fishing A LOT, and Just as I was starting to dig into the mix, i looked at my hands... and the first thing that popped into my head was "these poor people" ...

you know those hands i'm talking about - the ones where you've been fishing herring, sardines, and eggs for 3 weeks straight....

Anyways since then i've opted for others peace of mind and started using the latex gloves....

Instead of gloves try throwing the whole mess into a sturdy ziplock bag squeez out most of the air and squish away! when all mixed all you have to do is cut off a corner of the bag and squeez it all out! Works great an no mess at all!

One small tub of cream cheese, one small can of crushed pineapple, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, one 4 x4 chunk of smoked salmon. Yum yum.

Try the same reciepe with a jar of roasted red peppers and just leave out the pineapple. Oh boy!!!!
