Hello I have been looking in on this forum for about a year. Decided it was time to get my feet wet. Great websight.
I know you need a story. I fish mostly Bass but have been trying for salmon. I learn a lot from this board.
About a week ago My boys and I went to try for Salmon. It seemed early. We fish from the bank. Saw some rolling but nothing hit on our offerings. Just as we were about to leave I had to throw one more cast. To my suprise I hooked a fish instantly. It took me only about 1 minute to get it in. It was hooked in the mouth and was a native. The only problem was the spinner was bigger than the fish. :whazzup: This little smolt must have been hungry.
M boys (13 & 15) were very excited about the catch. :tongue: They figure it ought to be good for ribbing me for at least a year.

Welcome aboard Takentime. I know the feeling about being teased by the kids. One day I had to be out of my house while the realtors came through. It was early spring and the springers hadn't come in the river yet, but I went out anyhow and achored for awhile with my son. I put a worm on for him while I tried for a salmon. He caught 5 chubs that day. So he reminded me quite often about the day he caught 5 and I caught none. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

I agree with Fishplay anything is better than getting skunk. Except being on or by the water and not at work.

Nice story too. I have been taking my daughter fishing for many years, but she always remembers the first time we went and she out fished me 4 to 1. [img]graemlins/eek13.gif[/img] :grin:
