Default Keep the Hatchery Support calls coming!

Our efforts here at Ifish along with the notices on other fishing boards and other groups are begining to tally some numbers. But it's not time to relax ... keep the calls going! 200 calls isn't a lot considering the number of folks who take advantage of hatchery reared fish!

I just received the following note from the Liz Hamilton at NSIA:

Here is some feedback on calling the Gov's Office 503 367 3111 regarding keeping the hatcheries open. Be short, polite and empahsize the culture, economy and environment that salmon & steelhead represent to us. Keep up the good work, and keep calling.

Liz--

I called and they said they received 200 calls yesterday and almost 100 today. I was short and just told them to keep them open. The gentleman was kind and I think appreciated my not rambling on and on. He knows the facts I just let him know I wanted them to remain open. I have forwarded the message to others, so hopefully more calls will be made.

Did you all make your calls today?

Any other NSIA members on ifish?
