ifish tournaments, challenges, flotillas

I received a request this morning about a challenge type tourney for kids on spring break. Wonderful idea! He also requested that ifish give out a prize for the winner. However, in responding to him, his address bounced. So, I thought I would post it here, for all to see.

Ifish cannot be involved in giving prizes, sponsoring, or managing tournaments. The rules and laws are very restrictive. I'd just as soon let you guys start your own little challenges, flotillas, or whatever you want to call them.

They cannot be for money, however, and the prizes should be silly little things that encourage togetherness, rather than competition on the river.

Ifish would like to discourage fierce fishing competition, and instead focus on getting together to have a good time on these events.
