Prayers for my dad
My dad is the man who taught me nearly all I know about hunting, fishing, being a man, and most importantly being a father. Well, things haven't been easy for him the past 5 or so months and doctors aren't really able to point him in the right direction either.
He's having constant cramps in all of his muscles and is easily fatigued...because he can't sleep at night because the cramps wake him up. They've tested a lot of things and no idea what it is.
Prayers are needed for him. I pray for rest, a break from the cramps, and an answer for what is going on in his body. At this point, just knowing would ease a lot of stress.
I am thankful though that he does know the Lord and knows that there is a reason for all of this.... Thanks in advance.

Checked for that too...nothing. So far, MRI is clear, liver is clear, blood levels for all toxins is clear, but can't find anything.... Neurologist appointment is being made tomorrow, so more testing to come.
What we do know is that the cramping is obvious, as you can see the muscles roll. Very painful.
Your prayers are appreciated. We're praying for all of you as well. God is great and all of this is for a reason and a purpose, so may it be to his glory!

Re: Prayers for my dad
My wife and I will certainly be in prayer for you dad and not for just a diagnosis but healing. Our God is a God of restoration among all His other wonderful attributes and though things like this can be great walls to us, He has broken down every wall.
My bride has been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the symptoms sound very similar. I don't know if it can help but we have found out that those who suffer from this ailment have a problem with their seratonin levels. She has a better understanding of what seratonin does than I do but I believe it is a chemical in our bodies that helps in pain management and our body's general well being. My wife takes a natural form of it to help bring her levels back to a more normal state, it's known as 5-HTP. Our bodies have a supply of seratonin but it remains static, it doesn't make more, it just stores what we have. In my wifes case, her body isn't re-processing it which leads to fatigue, pain in her joints, cramping, and we think eczema, since that affliction started about the same time. We went for a long time without a diagnosis as the regular MD's really weren't knowledgeable on the condition. Most of our help came through a reumatory arthritis specialist. I pray this information may be of some use to your dad and yourself and again, we'll be seeking intervention from our Lord. Until then, may He be your source of strength, comfort and peace within the storm. Phil 4:6-7

Re: Prayers for my dad
Quick Update:
He went to the neurologist and they think that it is most likely Isaac's Syndrome...much better than we thought. Nothing is confirmed yet...2 more weeks to find out for sure. However, if it is Isaac's, the symptoms can be treated. We were very worrried that it was looking like ALS (Lou Gehrigs).
He's been on meds and feels for the first time in months that he has energy and is not dying. Praise be to God! It was so good to hear dad sound encouraged and have a little strength!
Thanks to you all for your prayers!

Re: Prayers for my dad
The latest...finally got the results back for Isaac's sydrome...not it according to the test, but the docs really feel that it is because all the levels have went down w/ the medicine for it. He's starting to feel like he can live again! Thanks be to GOD!
