Default Cagey Passed Away

Cagey passed away Sunday Afternoon surrounded by his family

Sad News

Cagey ( Kenneth Goodman ) Family will allow former Police Officers who worked with Chief Goodman to come to see him at 1pm tomorrow after which he will be removed from life support...

My God...that's horrible news. I knew Ken pretty well, went fishing a couple of times with him and traded emails alot. Great person all around. I've been in touch with his progress, but this caught me by surprise.

Kenneth (Bud) Edwin Gudeman 75, born May 28, 1935, in Platte, South Dakota. Passed away February 13, 2011 in McMinnville, Oregon.

Ken is survived by wife, Vonda Jean; brother, Ray Robert; sons, Kenneth and Scott; daughter, Kathy Plyter; grandchildren, Brian Robertson, Broc Gudeman and Bridgett Gudeman.

Preceded by mother, Amy; father, Ray; and grandson, Tyler Robertson.

Ken served in the US Air Force from 1954-1961. He joined the McMinnville Police Department in 1963 and became Chief of Police in 1973 and served as Chief until his retirement in 1990. Since retirement Ken (Bud) worked for a private investigation firm for approximately 5 years. Since then he has volunteered at the local American Legion Post.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking and spending time with family and friends.

Services for Ken Gudeman will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church on the Hill in McMinnville, 700 NW Hill Rd. McMinnville, OR.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Association in his name. To leave private condolences for the family, please visit www.macyandson.com

Proud to call Mac my home with him as police chief here. Tyler, his grandson who died in an accident at PC, was in one of my classes.
