130 hp honda info
Rebell asked me to tell him what I thought of my honda 130. As far as weight, yes it is heavier than the two strokes and I sit in the water about 2 inches more at the transom than with a 115 mercury that I had before. Throttle and power are great. It pushes my 19 foot Northriver at about 44 mph per my gps. I troll with it in the ocen all day with no problems. Gph seems to be pretty good also. I went fishing down at Astoria one weekend. I launched at Skipanon and fished Friday afternoon in front of Hamond, then Saturday all day in the ocean and again Sunday in the ocean and burned up 22 gals of gas. Of course this will vary upon distance running versus distance trolling. I'm not here to argue what brand is better or worse, as I think they're all somewhat comparable. An ifisher asked me the question and I'm just giving him and answer. Good luck.

Get Hooked
How much does your 19" NR weigh? I haven't jumped for the 225 yet for the 20 ' NR Seahawk I want. Do you think your hull is in the 1700lb class? I don't want to be underpowered but 600 lbs is a lot of weight on the transom. Yours is about 100 lbs lighter I think. But I don't want a short life out of an expensive unit because I had to run it full throttle.

Re: 130 hp honda info
Big shark, I don't know off hand what the boat weighes loaded. I've got 38 gals of gas, gear and run usually 2 to 3 people in the boat. I know the 20' sea hawk is a lot more boat than mine as I was looking at that model when I purchased this one. The 20' deep vee hull was definitly too big to fit in my garage. The deep vee adds a lot of depth the the boat. I've seen one at the show room a while back with a big Yamaha on the back. Maybe you can give Mike Blocher a call at Northriver and he can tell you about it and how it performed. I think the boat had a 225 hp on the back. Sorry if this doesn't help you.

Re: 130 hp honda info
I can troll down to about 1.7 mph. I have a 17 pitch prop. If I want to troll slower I use my kicker. good luck.

Re: 130 hp honda info
get hooked,
Thanks for the reply. I was considering buying new, but found a clean used alumaweld over the weekend I couldnt let go. It has a 200 merc with a pump on it. If anything happens down the road I will look at the Honda. I have heard nothing but good about them.
