Lets see, 71 degrees in Astoria today, wind 4-6 mph, river going to be full of silvers with some really good first and last light high tides coming up, no one else there.

Yup you'd better fish locally, it sounds like way too much work and horrible conditions. I hate it when I don't have to wait 45 minutes at the ramp to launch my boat and catch fish.

Seriously, after labor day, Astoria becomes one of the most pleasant places to fish with no crowds and still plenty of fish. I may be wrong, but I predict this weekend will be a good one between the church and the bridge. In this case you can truly fish where no one else is and expect to limit on mint bright salmon.

Default Astoria Area Info

I am hoping to go to Chinook tomarrow. Has it been rough or choppy with wind? Thinking of fishing from Church to Bridge.

House work may be more productive. Might want to consider staying local. It is a lot less work.
