Default Trolling for URB's

Anyone have much luck or suggestions on trolling spinners/wobblers/plugs in the Columbia around town when the current's not runnin? I would like to try this since it's often hard to always get out during the optimum flows for anchoring. Also, you would probably have plenty of elbow room at slack flows since everbody would be gone. I got a nice nook trolling a spinner in the Lewis on saturday, but never tried it in the main river. Let's hear your thoughts.

Baitslinger, the recent issue of Salmon Trout Steelheader magazine had an article on trolling spinners for salmon. I believe it was called the slack line bite. There are some pictures of different spinners you could go by. I made some of my own and hooked up 5" into the morning. That was the only fish I hooked that day, but it was better than nothing. BC Angling has a website, BCAnglingpost.com, that has spinner components and blades to choose from. I did well with a #7 Willow, white and red blade with red on top. They also have one red on the bottom. Plus a ton of diffrent colors. I'm going to buy some more blades as soon as the family and I get back from Disneyland.

baitslinger,

I believe last year Fishntr2 pulled two +20lb URBs trolling a blue/silver Coyote spoon behind a fishflash. You'll have to ask him about it next Monday (not in this week).

Oops, forgot to add that was at Frenchman's Bar Low slack if I remember the story correctly. He posted pictures of it on this board so if you look in the archives it might be there.
