This past Thurs., Ron (Ryanfish) & I left for Chinook Landing at 0-dark-30, launched his boat, found our spot, anchored and then just shot the **** & drank coffee 'til fishin' time.
We started fishing at legal time and fished for an hour with nary a bump. Then when it started getting light (6:30ish) the bite was on! We saw 4 fish caught in 20 mins. Happily, my rod was one of those that dived and I hauled in this 38# buck.

Just 11 days before that, I caught my very first Chinook (again out of Ron's boat) 27# hen
