Portland Craigslist Ad: Be Aware

guys, there is an ad on the portland craigslist for an 8hp all electric yamaha kicker. the price now is $1,500 obo. the original ad said it was a 2005 and the price was $900. i called and he instantly said he'd meet me in pendleton. he also said he messed up and it was a 2007 model...but the price was still $900. i thought something was very fishy so i had my cousin in washington call on it. he was asking my cousin what he would give him for it?? said he was out of town when i talked to him. point is, something did not seem right with this. not saying it's stolen, but to be a bit cautious if you call about it. i'm sure he's had a thousand calls at the prices he posted. if you do get a hold of him, i'd REQUIRE that he gives you the serial #. if he wont...BIG RED FLAG!!

i just got off the phone with the guy he told me he was out of town too. he told me he would take 1,100 for it when he got back sunday.. it does not seam like he knows much about what he has i will see if i can get some pics of it to see if its my old kicker

Hmmm. Sounds kind of wacky based on the other replies and calls to this person. Anybody ask him for the SN??
