Default Is there an Alaskan equivalent to ifish?

I'm headed to Sitka this summer to support my sister who got a job at a fishing lodge (what a good brother I am).

Is there an Alaskan fishing message board similar to ifish? I found the one a lot of Canadians like to use (which is cool to read), but I was wondering if there are fisherman out there chatting about SE Alaska the same way we do.

Thanks for any help.

Try the Alaska Outdoor Journal. I look up the salmon run charts (fish counts) all the time during the summer. Their website has real-time fishing reports, fish counts, historical data on fish counts, and guide reports from all over the state. I haven't used it, but their website also has a forum.

I agree with Dan. The Alaska Outdoor Journal site is really the only one specific to Alaska. It doesn't get a ton of traffic but does have good reports.

Welcome to Ifish Dan. Glad to see some more guys from Alaska on Ifish.

AOJ is a great resource for local alaska fishing news. Used it a lot when I was up visiting friends. Good luck, man I can't wait to get back up there to visit.

AOJ! He's changed things up a bit and I haven't been there for a while but I'm sure it's still good. It's not even close to as big a Ifish but you can get good info.

I have that website in my favorites Wade...

Very comprehensive, up to date reports that includes sonar readings for fish returns...

Good luck up there this summer...I am going to Yakutat the 2nd week of June...
