His book is one of my favorites, it sounds like he had a full and colorful life. My sympathies to his family. Rest in Peace.

. Lloyd was one of a kind. Not only a logger, but trapper, fisher and woodsman and friend to many. His book sits near my desk ready to put life in perspective on the "dark" days. He and Ellen were kindred spirits. RIP my friend.

I was the resident deputy of Loon Lake in the summer of 1980...Lloyd was a fixture at Duckett's. He was a character!

Only meet them on a trip to loon lake summer of 2006 I asked him if I could buy some fire wood from him and he said take what you need no charge so I bought his book and he signed it boy did get a good deal and a lesson in life.
