Default WTB: 150-200 HP Outboard

Looking for a decent 150-200 HP outboard. Nothing older than 2005 and it needs to be in good shape. Would prefer a Mercury Optimax or Evinrude E-tec, but will concider a Yamaha or Suzuki 140 if the price is right. I'll need a mechanic to look at it, as I will be shipping it to Alaska and installing it up here, and any cost from that can be added to your selling price. Thanks.

Tracker on the Salty Dog board might have (2) for sale.

Though Fish Hawk had one for sale also.

Still looking. Wish I could buy FishHawk's, but a 225 would put me over my limit.

Paul,
Your using the pump only up there correct? So a 225 hp prop is a 160 hp jet. So set up as a jet you would be looking at a 160 HP

Not sure if your rating on that boat is seperated between prop and pump like on mine. You may want to look into that.

I'm rated for 150 pump and 140 prop. I was planning to use both. I really want to buy that 225 you have for sale (if it's still available), but I think I'll be overpowered (if that's possible?).

I'm starting to look at buying new. Been looking for an outboard for months now and finding a good used one is tough. If I go new, I'm thinkin' maybe a Suzuki, but those E-tec's sure are nice.
