Default Anyone with a Frenchman's Bar report?

I know it was on fire last weekend (got one myself on Saturday) but was wondering if it was still kicking out some fish. Also, is there still enough current to anchor with Alvins on the low slack or the flood? There was current ripping 24/7 towards Astoria about a month ago due to the heavy flows out of Bonny. I was thinking about a trip on Friday but it looks like about noon or so until we get some current. Thanks in advance.....

I was wondering about the current too. The tides on the weekend dont look that good as far as time. Real early or late.

Chris, I'm headed out there tomorrow afternoon. I let you new how I do.

Hey TB,

The Bonny flows are way down. I'd guess highs are 2-3 feet lower than last weekend. The tide is stopping right on schedule, not 45 minutes later as it was with the good flows. Fishing is still good! Pulled a 39.5# out on Tuesday, along with a 16. My trucks brake booster died on the way home last night, so that meant a late start tonight as I had some work to do prior to heading out (brakes are a good thing). I didn't get out there until 4:45 and didn't touch a thing, but judging from FM, it was pretty good today as well.

Waterdog:

I am planning to go out by myself to frenchman's tomorrow afternoon as well. Send me an email of you want to hook up. I was planning to launch at Cathedral Park around 3:30PM, but I am flexible - my boat or yours.

I was thinking about heading up tomorrow but looked at the tides, and if I'm reading it right there's only a 3 foot swing during the evening outgoing. Is this enough current to have a decent shot at fish or am I just looking at a boat ride? Gotta get some tule in the freezer to go with all that yucky ocean coho

Should be enough to run an Alvin from high down to the middle or so.
