lookin for a few good men
OK maybe I've gotten off the subject of fishing a bit but I have a single mother-in- law that would make a great friend as well as deck hand. She love the outdoors, fishing ,gardening, camping ect... open minded, friendly, and fun, and nice to look at as well! This is a quality person that needs only quality friends. If you are SINGLE and in your late 40s to mid 50s email me. She does not know that I'm doing this but is open to meeting new friends or whatever

Re: lookin for a few good men
I don't think I want to go here.
I'll wait for a second opinion, but...
I just don't think I want to go here!
I don't like the fact that she doesn't know.
I'm sure she's a nice gal, and that's why I'm concerned! You never know about some people!

Re: lookin for a few good men
sounds to me like someone is trying to get his mother-in-law out of his hair.
sounds like an alright thing to me, as long as it's done with the normal safety measures one would use on a blind date: pfd - check, airhorn - check, gaff - check, billy club - check. that ought to about do it.
as well meaning as this is, both you and she need to be really careful.

Re: lookin for a few good men
not trying to get her out of my hair just would like to see her get out more. Safety is always first and backround search is a must

Re: lookin for a few good men
OK just talked to mom in law and she was very receptive. You see she works for me as my office manager and my office is @ my shop @ home and since I'm a slave driver she doesn't get out much. I take her in my boat every chance she gets. Which isn't much since I make her work while I fish. Again not looking to marry her off { because that would be detrimental for my sitter needs } just want to see her have some fun

Re: lookin for a few good men
If she knows about it, it's fine with me.
Good luck and good fishing!

Re: lookin for a few good men
Keep me informed if this works. I have a mother-in-law that I would love to get rid..... I mean pass off to anybody willing to enjoy her fine company
SWWF - Sweet loving generous women, that loves short walks on the beach, romantic dinners, god fearing woman, Will tell you exacly what she thinks,.... er,, I mean able to speak her mind. (I might have to polish this up a bit, but I am worried about false advertising laws  )
I think I will try this approach on a Florida fishing forum. I'm willing to include my boat in the deal if the state is far enough away and they will sign a contract that states, "all sales are final, no returns allowed". Number or rods & reels included in the package is negotiable. I do understand the meaning of all of the rods plus a couple new ones
Why didnt I think of this idea about the time I got married

Re: lookin for a few good men
I think it is a great idea! There's a couple of gals I know that would make great fishing partners/good company. I've thought about posting the question myself, but I guess I've just been too shy about it.
Thanks for bringing the subject up Metalhead!

Re: lookin for a few good men
Keta had it right.
Reminds me of my favorite "personal:"
WANTED:
A good woman who can clean and cook fish, dig worms, sew, and who owns a good fishing boat and motor. Please enclose photo of boat and motor.
Seriously, I met my sweetie when I was teaching a canoeing class. We "met" that day under water during a canoe rescue demonstration: wet hair, running makeup, and all. Twenty-one years and three kids later, I still thank the river gods for that day on the Clackamas!
