How about the Terrimore (sp?) in Netarts? Just 6 miles from downtown Tillamook, it overlooks Netarts Bay with beach access, allows pets, reasonably priced; and enjoyable local eateries and pubs - plus Netarts is a lot quieter location.

Do NOT ever stay at the Three Capes Inn in Netarts.

Oh no, one thing it is not is "NEW" ... It's across the road from a tavern ... mmm ... michko's?

The Shilo in Tillamook is good, not too spendy, they'll let you take the dog in for a few extra $$.

Cannon Beach, the only place I know is the Tolavana Inn - ya got Mo's right there. It's kind of hard to park a boat in the parking lot , seems like they made me unhook the trailer or something.

Phish-On, if you don't like that Three Capes place, the good news is -- it may not be standing after last weekend's MichkoStock ?02.

I have a friend with a small nice house on Cape Mears Road not very far from the Memaloose Boat ramp, and he rents it out from time to time. If your looking for something kinda quiet and cozy this would work. It's pretty nice inside. If you are interested, e-mail me directly and I can get you in touch.

Default Oregon Coast lodging

Looking for a place for one night this weekend for my wife and I (and dog) to stay in. We'll be a family thing on Sunday in Tillamook, and are then hoping to find some place nice and relaxing to go from there. We're hoping for something in Cannon Beach, but arent having a lot of luck. Anyone know of GOOD places that the wife would like between Tillamook and Seaside?

Check out Manzanita - a couple of motels there are pet-friendly. The Sunset Surf Oceanfront motel is one, don't know what the rooms are like, but many of them overlook the beach. Three or four motels are on the web if you search for "Manzanita, OR".

Seems like I remember a town somewhere on the coast between Tillamook and Cannon Beach where they have hotel/motel looking places, or possibly just shops, that sit right on a bay type of water setting with kayaks and canoes to rent. Very small town... just cant figure out what it is.

Hey -Cool T I am thinking you are describing Wheeler and Wheeler By The Bay Motel. Nice place and reasonable but only small dogs. Kayaks, fishing, crabbin etc. Great seafood pizza / Italain across the street. Wheeler by the Bay owners are super great people. They are on the web as well!
I wasn't going to answer about lodging in Cannon Beach. Too many Yuppies and tourists. Besides that, where do you fish crab or launch your boat there?
Wheeler is on the Nehalem going North from Rockway npot too far. If you dont have your boat stop at Jetty Fishery and give Kelly a Yell.
He'll sell or rent you almost anything and let you crab anytime on his river. That is a great place to stay if you have an RV.

Wheeler on the bay...that is the place! Just called. Dogs under 20 pounds only. Dogs come in >20# sizes?!? I thought those were called "cats"?? I asked if I could just tie a bunch of balloons to my 80# Golden... no dice. That sucks. Would have taken his $125/night room in a heartbeat. Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Any other good ideas of nice places??

sea view vacation rentals in pacific city--can stay right on the beach--dogs allowed at some of the rentals. Pacific city is just south of tillamook. Big salmon at boat ramp just south of the bridge over the nestucca.
