Salmon River - Lincoln City

Does anyone know how the salmon river is doing right now? Plan on a trip there on Sunday. Also if they're doing something, where?

I will be driving by the Salmon River in two hours. I drove by on my way to Newport Wednesday and did not see anyone fishing the guardrail. I did see some fishing lower but I believe it is early yet if you are looking for the big runs of Chinook. I have heard of some fish being caught but I have heard that up and down the coast in that area. I have not heard anything this week as I have been on vacation and away from work were I get most of my info.

Hi Slamnator.....just a suggestion, but you may want to change your moniker. "Salmonator" is a name already in use on the board. Just might reduce some confusion. Hope I am not offending you. :smile:

No offense taken :smile: I have just used that name for about the last ten years on the river and online. I am considering changing it, but i have not came up with a new name yet, or even if i want to change.
