Default BANK FISHING?

Have not done alot of bank fishing for fall nooks. I know it is still early to have some in the upper rivers, but does anyone know where a guy might find some action? Thanks

The only spot I know for sure that is considered a fall fish spot is the Hospital Hole out of Tillamook. It's bobber fishing only there. You have to pay a few bucks to park, as well.

This will be my first season trying for fall fish on the Columbia, but I imagine that Tanner Creek and Bradford Island up at Bonneville will be good. I may also try the Sauvie Island beaches.

I am 100% clueless on any of the smaller rivers in our area. I have not had a chance to get up and check em out.

bradford island later in the season. Mouth of Tanner Creek (with a TON of lead) both will produce if you can avoid the...incidents

What area are you looking to fish in? I am a fairly experienced "BANKEE" and know a lot of the holes. Be ready though, if you plan to fish form the bank, it's usually very crowded (especially when the fish are in) and a lot of the guys down there think they are Gods and you should bow to there wishes (these are usually the guys snagging fish or not catching).
Don't give up though, as i believe that bank fishing is a lot more challenging than fishing form a boat

Actually I was kind of sick of the ol' moniker anyways. I was thinking that maybe "Bait 'a Eggs" would be good!

But usually off the ones around here from first of sep. untill mid oct. due to the crowds and tactics. Will fish the NF lewis all year, and the EF all year. Clear out of the Washougal in a few weeks.

Do you mean herman creek in the gorge or somewhere else.
I will also be at the hatcherie on the NF. I am always plunking eggs and spin glo's right at the cement wall where the hatchery flows out, i didn't go home with out a limit last 2 years.

I rarely fish the rock due to the methods of some of the fisherpersons on that side. I don't like being grouped with those people. I have seen my share of bad things happen on the rock over the years. Not that i am perfect i used to associate myself with those people because that was the only way i knew how to catch fish but not any more.

I am a bank fisherman too. I fish the wilson and sandy the most and sometimes will be on the trask, kilchis, NFN. I am younger 19 years old, brown wadders, vest with a g-loomis patch on the back, and always my oregon ducks hat. And i drive a older toyota pickup 1988 red 4x4 with a g-loomis sticker on the tailgate. So if you ever see me say hi, i love talking to fishermen and women on the river. I hope i see you out there. And if you have a OSU hat on i will still say hi

Well, I'm not sure that one side or the other is any better. Alot of people don't know what fishing is ( this does not include snagging). I've caught (taht means CAUGHT ) alot of fish on the rock sideover the years. It's almost to the point anymore that anywhere you go there are alot of people who do not represent my idea of fishing. Wish people would get a clue and start fishing and cleaning up after themselves when they leave. Sad to say that most of the time i'm embarassed to say that i fish when i see what the fishing hole look like and what people do to to catch fish. Maybe one day people will be forced to get a clue :depressed:
