Default Smoked salmon guacamole

4 avocados
salt
pepper
1 clove chopped garlic
1 pasilla pepper
3 pieces bacon
2 or more ounces flaked smoked salmon.

Mash up avocados and mix in salt and pepper and chopped garlic.
Roast pasilla pepper in oven. When done put in paper bag and let it sweat, it's easier to peel skin off, take off skin and seed it. Dice it up small. Cook bacon in frying pan or however you like to make it. Flake up your smoked salmon, then mix it all in with the avocados. Let it sit overnight and eat with chips or crackers! Enjoy

This sounds great, will have to try............

I have a question for ya...........

You say to let it sit over night, do you add any lemon juice or something to keep the avocados from turning black?

Yes you can put in the lemon juice to keep it from getting dark. But normally we eat it all up pretty quick the next day before it turns much at all. Enjoy

lemon juice is a must for my guac, but putting the pit(seed) back into the guac will also do the trick. I love to make guac but the salmon sounds great. Thanks for the suggestion.

Not trying to "steal the thread" but want to bounce a smoked salmon idea around. I like deep fried won tons, and have done the shrimp or chicken thing. What do you think of maybe smoked salmon/cream cheese or smoked salmon/cabbage/green onion? maybe dipped in that asian "sweet chili sauce". Any advice will be taken to heart! Let's all learn to cook and smoke better.
