I bonked one on Saturday but that was the only take down of the day. I feel fortunate to have caught it since I only saw one other fish boated. It was SLOW out there - nets were in the day before so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

I had three takedowns on Saturday and one on Sunday and ended up with a 15 lber on Saturday. All on prawn spinners. The three I missed were near the cattle barge and the one I caught was hooked in front of the Aldrich Point ramp. Did not see a fish caught on Saturday, but did see two on Sunday.

Put two in the boat today and lost one. We were a couple miles upstream of Puget Island. Also saw quite a few fish hooked today, but the nets went in at 3:00pm and won't be out until 7:00am tommorow morning.

Default Cathlamet Report

I'm planning a trip to the area this weekend. Are there any reports coming out of the area. Also what to use and area to fish. I've not fished this area before. Thanks for any tips.

Fished over the weekend. Had one take down sat. but none sun. Talked to the fishchecker and only three fish reported sunday. Slow! The "bite" was at the tide change flood>ebb. Cut-plug herring trolled over towards Clifton saw the action. For the ebb I went over to the main river. All I saw there was a couple of steelhead hooked and released running kwikfish from anchor.
