How's Bonneville???
With 4-5ft wind waves this weekend, it's time to give big blue the weekend off and spend some time on the river. I'm thinking there should be fish stacked up below Bonneville, and if the bite is off, there are always peelers for that upper body workout thing. Has anyone been up there lately????? How did you do?
Thanks!

Re: How's Bonneville???
Mouth of the Cowlitz. There are fish being caught everyday there. Not blazing hot but Iv'e managed 4 fish in 3 trips. I will be there friday for sure and maybe sat. and sun. as well. Remember the nets are in so we all have an excuse if no fish are caught! :depressed:

Re: How's Bonneville???
The WDFW reports show the highest success coming from the mouth of the Cowlitz/Longview area. I have also heard Drano is starting to fish well.

Re: How's Bonneville???
AT,
I would think that there would be some opportunity for steelies up there right now. Counts over the dam have been between 6K and 8K all week.
Good luck.

Re: How's Bonneville???
****** -
You left out the part about "Please don't drop anchor in backtrolling lanes."
I have heard "some" people have been known to do so, messing up the fishing for boatloads of others because they saw fish coming from the backtrollers.
There is enough room for everyone and every method as long as people understand and care enough about the protocols of certain areas...

Re: How's Bonneville???
Once again, late updates in the NOAA forcast calls for a change of venue. Sunday morning I'm shooting for Bouy One! Anyone interested, make it an as early as possible departure; the bar will be murder with a minus tide at 8:30.
