Default Cowlitz Mouth

Fished below the mouth friday and sunday. Managed 1 small steelhead friday, had 5 takedowns and 2 other fish came unbuttoned. The boat next to me caught a 12 + 14 lber and released 1 wild. We were fishing in about 30 ft water. Sunday not a lot of action. I didn't have a bump and 3 fish were caught from 2 boats to the outside of me. The best action appeared to be in deeper water. Friday the gamie working the raineer launch had seen 10 fish for 12 boats when we left. He said the steelhead catch is improving but is not seeing many chinook.

Default Re: Cowlitz Mouth

I was out at the mouth fri,sat and sun. Fri we lost a steelhead after it jumped out of the water then caught a 30lb chinook.Sat we had one take down and got a 8lb steelhead.Sun nothing at all only saw 2 others caught. Now that the nets will be out for a couple of days during the week I think I will cut some fire wood this weekend. Unless I hear of good happening.
