Default Wounded Soldier

Friend of mine's son got hit with a landmine in northern Afghanistan, taking off both his legs and internal injuries. Couldn't stabilize in field or Germany. In surgery tomorrow in Bethesda. Not good. for Jason.

I will keep him in my prayers. My friends brother was hit by an IED a year ago August. The hospitals there are very good, he is being treated by Walter Reed. Take care and hugs.

Many prayers for this young man. As a father of a soldier just about to finish his commitment I feel so lucky for him to have made it through his year in Iraq. Some did not. This is every parents nightmare and I cannot imagine what the family is going through. We (parents of soldiers) all feel this pain although not near what the soldier and his family are going through.
