Sorry I can't report to much. Talked with Kelly at Jetty fishery this morning and he said that the jaws haven't been all that hot. A few fish have been picked up in front of Wheeler or Nehalem but as of right now there hasn't been a lot of pressure. Last Saturday was hot in front of Wheeler.
There are a lot of fish out side that have to come in sooner or later. When they do....YeeHa.

Maybe someone who fished this week has a more accurate report.

I don't know about the jaws, but the Wheeler/Nehalem area has been producing slow but steady this week. I'd guess 6 to12 fish a day. Most fish seem to be small - 10 to 14 pounds.

Has anyone fished outside Nehalem bay this week. It seems like the nooks should be piling up out there. I'm thinking about trying it Saturday on the way in from halibut.

My friends fished Nehalem today and landed 2. 22lbs and 12lbs that was about 2 o'clock. Don't know if they picked any more up. How did that bait work for you on Friday?

ACHHGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I LEFT at 1:00 today! I saw TWO fish caught out of about 25 boats!

I didn't even see them caught. I just heard. Funny thing, too, when I got out to go to the bathroom about 10:00 people were leaving. They thought I was NUTS to stay! They said, "What? Are you a glutten for punishment?)

NO! I want a fish! BADLY!
If I would have stayed.... would I too, be having fish for dinner?

One guy hooked a sturgeon under the bridge!!!

It was SO slow, but yet they were rolling around everywhere and we marked them everywhere!!

Got dynamite? (Did I say that?)

Tomorrow.... You just wait. TOMORROW. You n me, fish!

I fished the wheeler area Tue and Wed. it was slow but i did get a fish each day... incoming tide (within 1 hour of low tide). plug cut - blue label. both fish were rather small (16# perhaps). was only out about 1 hour each day but didn't see much action.

Thanks for the info folks, I'll be heading down as soon as I can get out from behind this desk , plan on fishing tonight, sat and sun - sounds like those that work for it are getting some action....

Chris, maybe see you down there? The baits were great, I can't recall if they were the ones that got us fish, but there were sure fishy - infact, I have a bit of that seceret weapon in my tackle box for the weekend.

I'll be in a 21 foot older starcraft.....
