Default River slime on my boat

This is the first year that I rented a boat slip and after 4 months I took my boat out for the bouy 10 fishing, and wow the bottom of my boat is looking greener than my yard. How does one lazy guy remove this mess from a fiberglass boat. I know that a pressure washer doesnot do the trick. I did hear that if you take it out in the salt water that it kills most of it and than its easier to clean?? A little insight would be great. Thanks

Proper paint before you moored the boat would have helped prevent much of this. See you marine store paint specialist...But that doesn't help now. One suggestion is to clean (scrub ) the bottom while it is in the water. Find yourself a beach and get to work. If you let it dry on the hull I assure you that it will be the last time you will let it happen
Some boat basins have automatic scubbers for a fee.

Very simple answer. Go to any auto parts store. Buy a squeeze bottle of CASTROL Super Clean (or something close to that name, by CASTROL, purple bottle). It will absolutely amaze you with its effectiveness. Spray it on gunk, wait a few seconds, and wipe it off. You will be shocked at how well this works. If you need an actual testamonial, ask 24on/48off on I fish.

Don't let it dry. Wash with clorox diluted with water (fairly week) and lots of elbow grease :depressed: .
Bottom paint is a must if you are going to leave your boat in the water.
