Default Where to find Alum?

I notice alot of pickle recipes call for Alum. I cannot seem to find it anywhere. I know that there are some health risks to having too much but i heard it is safe in small amounts. Does anybody know where I can get some? Thank You

PS In honor of veterens day I would like to thank anyone who has served in the armed forces, for the freedom that I enjoy everyday THANK YOU

Ok I must just not have looked good enough. Do they normally keep it in the salt and pepper section?

Look in the canning section where the jars, lids & pectin are.

We have always used a grape leaf instead of alum when making pickles.

I always thought the grape leaf did not help for crispness but for anti gas(burbless)

If you can't find it in the grocery store, try the Pharmacy. I know, but we used to get it there when we used it for tanning hides.
