Default Clackamas Steelhead/Springers

thinking about heading up and fishing in the evening(s) are the fish still in ? and what are your favorite bank spots/tackle...any info much appreciated

pretty slow, too warm. you have to be there by 5 am. head up to mciver park and fish above the hatchery. the summers are in and still a nook or 2. use corkies and light leaders. good luck.

The springers are pretty sunburned right now, but there are some summers spread out trough the river. Unless you are the most serious of egg ******, I wouldn't recommend keeping any springers this late. It's pretty gross watching people walk out packing their darkies along with them. yuck.

I went to river mill a week ago and it was slow it was the first time I have fished the clack but all the fish were dark there might be a nice one in there but what I would do is fish the sandy if the water looks good. There are still bright springers in the river but lots of darker ones and a lot of summers, Good luck.
