Started the day at 6 am on the water and didn't get a hit until 8:45. I sooo glad I made it stick :grin: . The water has come down quite a bit and is very clear. I went 1 for 1 with a nice fiesty 5.1# buck all chome . I saw only one other fish landed also a small bright fish. On the way out Saw another small fish on the bank and one guy heading out with a limit the biggest looking around 8#'s. No monsters today and even better no crowds . Fished until 10 with only two anglers on the oppisite bank. Was very nice.
we floated from Gordon creek to Dabney. Hooked 9 and landed 5. 3of those were nates. The cool part was, my nephew got his first steelie. All but one were on first cast jigs with a shrimp tail. All in all, a pretty good day.
I too also fished the Sandy this a.m. I did hook into a very ticked off fish, estimated to be around #10-#12. Hit my homade spinner and ran right for me, came unbuttoned and continued to jump another 3 times. Was forced to leave leave early do to some leaky waders. Also on the way out, heading up towards Sandy, I saw 3 police cars and 2 car loads of young fisherman . Makes me wonder what those kids where doing.
