Default Coastal "Prison Guard" Crome!!! (pictures)

Met up with my friend Jeff, and his friends and we did our best to try to get them in to some fish. We where not in the steelhead challenge... though if we would have been more organized we should have been.

Here is a wild re-run I caught and was hesistant to post...

Here is the first bright chrome of the day, a nice wild buck Jeff got when I insisted to take the sticks.

This fish was on my first cast drift fishing of the day and was a real fighter jumping at least five times!

Here is the fish...not a bad hatchery buck caught on the old stand by orange and white wanna be glo-go...

Here is Dean's first caught with Jeff at the sticks while side-driftin in same exact spot! We lost two more in the same spot drift fishing but they came unstuck...Owner and Laser sharp hooks...

The next evening after a long rough day on another river, Austin and I made a short 3/4 mile drift and only had a hour of daylight he managed to get his very first steelhead that he hooked and landed by himself while I was at the sticks. He was really excited and happy to release this nice fat native hen.

What post of mine would not be complete w/ out a picture of some awful looking fish that I scrounged up along the bank. I was impressed with this late hen Chinook. Two weeks prior I bet she would have suprised some poor guy with steelhead gear side drifting eggs!

Nice set of pics Ty!

ROFLMAO! You are a funny guy and a true biologist for always posting pictures of dead rotting fish carcasses. Keep'm coming! I can't believe that chinook made it all the way to March!

Hopefully that hen had a mate. We could use more late chinook in the river.

I think there are more late chinook than we all relize.... They just have good conditions to come in and spawn...not like fall fish that have to wait for coller water and better flows for the tributary spawners..
