We have a small floatilla going out tomorrow, and will fish for gators in the afternoon. Check my post entitled "BOUY ONE...WEDNESDAY...CAN'T RESTIST" tomorrow night.

A buddy of mine was out of Deep River last week and he nailed 3 between 46 and 50". A couple days ago another guy was down there and didn't catch a thing. I don't know what to to tell you other than you can't catch a thing if you're not in the water. Good-Luck and post your results, I'm going down there Tues. the 23rd.

**** ,
It's been a hot/cold fishery the last couple of weeks. There are plenty of fish to be had, you just have to work for them. I have yet to fish the same way 3 times in a row this year. Here are a few tips that will make it easier if you choose to take my advice....
1. On a flood tide, fish the deep water. We have had awesome bites in 74 to 80 feet of water on the flood.

2. On an ebb, try the shallow stuff. I usually start in about 20 feet of water and work my way down to 4 feet when the tide is ripping out. I have had awesome bites in 4 to 7 feet of water along the edges of the sand bars.

3. Try to locate jumping fish. I can't tell you how many times I have seen jumping fish, anchored up in the general area and slammed them.

4. Stay away from the masses. If you see 4 to 25 boats all in an area and half the people are not standing up working a bite or reeling in fish, keep going. Too many people flock to an area where they see somebody working a fish and anchor up. What usually happens is the boat catching fish will keep catching fish and you will just be there watching.

5. If you are getting hammered by the sculpins or have not got bit by Mr. Sturgie in say 20 minutes, move.

6. Bring plenty of Anchovies and Smelt and plan on doing a lot of moving and you WILL score. As much as I hate saying this, leave the Sand shrimp at home.

Post your results......
