Default no steelies, just snow and ice.

got up early and left the house at 7am to hit eagle creek with Wootersen. The sidewalk was a skating rink but I figured we plau it by ear. Maybe there would'nt be anyone on the river I thought. It was lousy out, but it did seem to get better as we reached the river. Fished for an hour in the falling snow with no luck. I had the brilliant idea to leave the private waters and try up river. It was coming down good now but the headed toward the hatchery area. I wanted to see if some fish were in the upper river. Made it part way up the hill and we lost traction, along with the 4 wheel drive. Had to get out and hold the truck from sliding into a ditch :depressed: Ever try to push a car while wearing felt soled wading boots. Tried all the tricks. Finally a cool dude in another 4x pulled up a hill and we were good from there. No biggie, Got to meet and fish with Wootersen and came home to my wife building a snowman with my little boy, so it's all good.
Just another one of those adventures that make fishing a little more interesting.
Hope some of you beat the odds and put one on the bank.
GBS

Good for you to at least go out and try. I have been wanting to head up to Eagle Creek myself but have been deterred by the weather.

I am beginning to think that you and snow go together GBS. I sure hope you have a heater in your new ride for the following weekend.

So what's the definition of a good fishin' buddy:

one that will push your rig out of the ditch for you, even in the worst weather.

Brad, you passed the test, I'll fish with you anytime !!!

It was a good time even though we didn't catch fish. The company was good and we'll have to go again some other time.

I don't know about you, but my afternoon involved Nacho's and hot buttered rum and the Television.
