Wifes cancer is back. UPDATED

We could use some prayer. Sunny had 2 types of cancer(ovarian) about 3 years ago and beat it after 2 surgeries and 4 rounds of chemo. Well, out of the blue, it's back. We don't know a whole lot as of right now as we are waiting on some more test results.

I know that God will see us through this again, just as he always has. I also know that there is a purpose behind it all.

Anyhow, if you guys(and gals) could add Sunny to your prayers, I'd appreciate it.

Part 2

She just got out of the doc's office and we now have an attack plan. She has a small node about the size of a quarter and will be having surgery next week. At the same time, they will be doing some sort of Laproscope thingy to see if there is anything that the CT scan missed.

Once the surgery is over and we get done with Thanksgiving, she will start her Chemo treatments(3-6 of them).

We will stand strong and we both know that we will get through this with the strength that our Lord and Savior provides. He got us... through the last battle and she will prevail again.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

What a hideous disease! I'm sorry, but it just makes me mad.

I will pray for you. I just don't have to understand it, I guess. It is our job to believe and to pray. That, I can do. I can't understand it, though.

Here's the latest from my FB page.

Sunny had a chest port installed on Wednesday and had her 2nd chemo treatment on Thursday. She received 2 different treatments--1 through the chest port, 1 through the abdominal port (a 2-liter abdominal wash). She was very, very sick and I took her to the hospital Friday for emergency anti-nausea meds.

She's doing better now and is now dealing with her "normal" post Chemo effects.

My prayers go out to your wife and also your self times can be tuff on everyone when things like this arise she, all will be well and life will be once again grand for you to that is my prayer or along the lines of it also i pray for bolth of you to be strong in this time of need, my wife had somthing along the same lines happen so i have faith that all will come out well, praying for her and you bud stay strong

Thanks for the prayers everyone and for bringing this around Bernie. She is done with her Chemo, 5 treatments in all. This was a much more progressive treatment than last time and the doc is hoping for at least 10 years cancer free.

Sunny is back to work and on the mend.

Well, that didn't work.

The cancer is still there and she had yet another surgery last Friday. They took a chunk out and sent it to the testing lab to find out what will kill this stuff. Once we get that figured out, which should be next week, we will then be doing more chemo type treatments.

We know God has big plans for her story which is giving her strength.

God Bless you and Sunny from an old retired fisherman fro Gold Beach,Or. We are both in our 80,s so we know God can help. We now live in Centralia, Wa. Our 60 year old son just completed radiation for large tumers found in his throat, he Will make it along with Sonny cause God said so. We also have a 56 year old daughter in Kent diagnosed with colon cancer. We Pray for all of you and know God will help. This small internet fishing community is great. Round 1 done. She will undergo about 8-10 rounds, 1 every three weeks, until the doc is sure it is no longer an issue. We have decided it's best for Sunny to take 6-8 weeks leave from work to get the fight going good. It's gonna hurt a little, but we will prevail.

You and Sunny are in my prayers. I hate-hate-hate cancer! I survived cancer, myself, about four years ago. Like you and Sunny, I made it through with the incredible support of family, friends, and prayers. Know that we are all behind you both.

Update. 9-16-11

This is from my FB page.

Well, the CT scan was not what we had hoped. The cancer is growing and there are lesions on her liver. We are waiting for a call back from her oncologist to find out what is the next step and how serious this is. The good news is that the treatment she is undergoing right now is about number 10 on the list of drugs that should kill this stuff. So, if this doesn't work, in theory, there are 9 more lined up that should.
I will up-date more when I know more. Right now I am leaning hard on God and I know that he will carry us through this. I just hope that I can be half of the man she needs me to be right now. I will be reaching out soon for those of you that wish to help.

Oncologist informed us that it is a new cancer and @ a stage 4. Sunny has been fighting nausea for the past few weeks and we are now set up for home care for daily fluids. Taking her to the hospital every day was too taxing on her. Hopefully this will help and she will be able to build her strength back up and start eating again. Once she build up some strength, we will resume chemo treatments with a different chemo cocktail.

Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts.
