Fished two rods in the boat today and we had three takes on trolled prawn spinners landing one fin clipped 15 lber. The one we manged to land slammed the prawn hard while the other two pecked on it several times. One of the two missed fish was on only for an instant, while the other picked the stretch thread tied prawn clean. Did not actually see another fish caught among the 15 or so boats that were working the area, but talked to several guys at the ramp and there were a few fish caught.

[The Overfishin Condition]

Hey congrats! We fished the Catipiller island area today, and must've been hiding from the current, cause it never came in force there. We moved to try to find some sturgeon instead, and found rippin' current! We finished the day with this to show for it...

Let the record show that's probably an 8 inch smelt rigged with a 7/0 hook, :shocked: what was he thinking? Also saw one boat fishing for springers above to 205, not opened yet? :shocked: What was he thinking?

And I always thought we could escape the bullhead by moving upstream from the brackish water of the estuary. At least it's one of the freshwater variety.
