Default First Time.

Well, purchased my New 19' Northriver in September and hunted all for waterfowl, but knew that Salmon fishing was what I really wanted to due. Went out today with K9Jeff and another friend. My first time Salmon fishing. We launched around 8:00 am near Freds Marina. I was alittle nervous but Jeff told me what we needed to do and should be how to work it. Although I did not hook up another guy with us did and landed and hatchery fish. Finally got some blood in the boat. Think I am hooked. Saw quite a few IFish stickers in boats. Although I now have strep thoat I would have never known it since I had a ball. Well I am sure k9Jeff will add to this saying it was quite funny watching the two new guys in the new boat catch one fish.

Right on! Salmon fishing is good medicine.

I have a NR Sportster on order - can't wait to see first blood on it.

Get better man - there's springers to be had.

It was a good time, It is always fun watching someome who had no clue as to what they were doing catch a fish (our non IFish friend). Joss did great with his new boat and will be a master in no time. I am very impressed with northriver and yamaha.

We did miss a take down, watched some people on the bank get into a fistfight over a half sunk boat near the sawdust pile, our friend who caught the fish (beginer luck) had been refered to a 12 step program because "I could not get to my rod because I did not know where to put my beverage" is not acceptable.

The fish that was caught was a little funky. He was skinny and thin, I thought it was a steelhead when I first saw it. It was missing the adipose and dorsal fin. We were happy with it just the same due to the low catch rate.

It was caught on a prawn spinner.

It was a great trip, I cant wait for the next one.

StinkyH: You will love your boat when you get it. I am having a ball with it learning knew things about having a jet for the first time. It seems to jump out of the hole quickly and scoooooot right along....
