call in sick,,, it would be worth the lesson. You could learn more in a day with mad than reading books all month.

The ans to your question could go on forever. These lures can be trolled, plunked or cast. This depends on the river or area you are fishing.

On the columbia right now, it the anchor game. a good rule of thumb is 3'ish of lead dropper from a spreader and 3'ish of leader to you spinner or whatever. there are several techniques to rigging and setting it on the bottom also. I will back bounce mine to get it out away from the boat for a ways and ensure it stuck on the bottom. Then put it in the rod holder.

Default basic advice

I am new to Ifish and salmon fishing. I have gone out a few times using the advice picked up on this page and some books but have had zero luck. One thing I keep reading is that folks are having good luck with flat fish and spinners. How do fish these lures - do you troll or anchor and back bounce them.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
