Springer (Jokester) Mania aboard the USS HH
Finally,
The first springer of 2004 has been tallied aboard the USS HogHunter by "The Jokester"...This is also Aaron's first springer ever.
Aaron, great to have you & Boe aboard today and hope to do it again soon...
Not many others taken today...Saw 1 other and heard of one other from a friend trolling herring in the local area...
Bait Wrapped Quikfish were the order for the day in a Red tiger with Red/Chartruese Tail for the Jokester...
Tight Lines All and hopefully tomorrow will yield more fishies....
Not the biggest springer of the year but one that will fit on the barbie just fine...Congrats Aaron

Wow, that's a dandy!  Look at those scales coming off - FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!  Way to get that springer skunk off your life! This will be one of many, I'm sure!
And your captain, KHH, congrats to you for obtaining first 2004 springer blood on your boat!
Just a note, my friends went sturgeon fishing today, and last I heard, had 2 keepers to the boat, and dozens of shakers and close ones. I'll post the complete update when I hear it in a new post.

WHEW....i'm no longer a springer virgin AND I got to put the 1st one of this season in KHH's boat!!!
Thanks again to Terry and Boe for inviting me along Boe...nice to meet you and i'm sure we'll fish again sometime in the near future! Had a great time with both of you and looking forward to another go-round after those spring chromers!! Thanks again guys! [img]graemlins/applause.gif[/img]
