Default Clackamas Today.

Fished the Clack with pops today and you could not ask for a better day,as far as weather goes.Fishing was not so good for us though.Managed one hatchery chromer on a jig that made some great runs and a few good somersaults.Thought I would be getting some nice eggs when it turned out to be a summer steelie, the skiens were about the size of my pinky.Would post pics but I have never figure out how to get them to upload.Always great to fish with dad.

Good job Greg! I have'nt even been on the Clack this year and really have'nt had the motivation to do so. Glad to hear someone got some fish today. Slow day for springers for us. My youngest caught two clipped smolt that we released and he has been bragging about those stupid fish all day long.

B-Run

There were approx. 5 or 6 in the trap this morning.

My guess is there should be a few in the lower river  , but that's just my opinion .

A majority of the winter fish will be knocking pretty hard on the hatchery gates around mid-April to the beginning of May.

Just in time as always, as one has to seperate himself into a Shirley McClaine posistion and fish both silver threads at the same time.]
After I win the lotto, I will find a way to fish springers and them others at the same time.

A buddy of mine fished the Clack yesterday afternoon, and caught a 5-6 pound clipped winter hen, chrome bright. His buddy caught about an 8 pound winter buck.

Bobber and jig.

Zipperlip location.

For the past few years we have done very well fishing jigs in water that very few would think about fishing.
