Default Volunteers are saving our fisheries

I a little mystified with the lack of volunteer spirit lately.
Are we burnt out trying to save the hatcheries?
Are we losing our community feel?
Should we be worried?

YES!

The wind river thing, no one volunteered?
This got little attention. The project died.

If we don't help and get involved, who will?

We need to be actively participating, and giving of our time in order to continue our harvest and sport.

There is an ocean problem going on that Pilar and Pilar's mate are struggling to get people involved with. We need to save our ocean fishing.

It will happen, if it does, due to a certain few, as always.

Let's change that certain few to a loud, boisterous group of many!

This is dead serious, folks.

If you and I don't contribute, we WILL lose many of our opportunities.

Default Re: Volunteers are saving our fisheries

This morning, a lady called that I had promised to do fundraising with for the Tillamook Junior High Band teacher.

I had let her down.

I find that if I pick one or two things to help with it works best.

Don't load yourself down with tons of 'maybes'.

Pick one or two things and do them, and say no to the others. Sometimes, when we have too many things to do in several areas, we fail to do a good job at even a few.

I'm guilty of that.
I spread myself too thin.
