Default Small river bait divers

I just got my boat and interested in running bait divers. I've seen some ways of doing it, what way do you prefer. Brads divers, hot n tots, one hook, two?? Spin n glows, birdies? Pics would be awesome if you have them. Steelies or springers.

Depending on where you're fishing, it might not be a good idea to run divers and bait right now. This is pretty much peak time for native steelhead and they can take the bait very deep when ran off a diver.

I'm just getting ready for the springers on the Kalama and NF Lewis. I'm still waiting for the natives to get through before then. Been running plugs and sidedrifting. Always want to be prepared when the time comes.

ps heard there was a fatal driving accident on the Kalama today. anyone have word??

This works for me I take a small jet diver and paint it black, then I attach it to a lage swivel, then attach that to a sinker slider. put the slider on your line then a bead and swivel attach the leader with a spin an glo and your ready. I personaly find this to work well.I dont think the fish feal the pull as much as they do when its attached to the diver and you see and feal the hit better. The current will grab the diver and keep tension on it and if you get a big one the only weak link is your knot on the swivel. In the summer we use this set up off the bridge and it works well. I have stopped using it in the winter because some times the fish inhales it and I hate gut hooking.
