6 plus hours on the water ... didn't touch a fish, didn't see a fish, didn't talk to anyone who'd seen fish, including the fish checker. I'd say it was darned slow. Same story yesterday at St. Johns. Must be the barometer, eh?

Smeltman, I was on the lower Channel yesterday and we had 4 fish on and landed two, both with adiposes. Guessed both fish about 17-18 pounds. Saw another boat catch two that he boated. Never saw anyone else with a fish. I was fishing cut plug herring. Good luck

Hey Pete, were you down around the "ringtail" area?
Fish checker there counted 11 for 6 on Thursday.

Just got back from the head of the channel. Not one bite. Did see a guy with a fish roped to the boat, but that was it for the afternoon/evening. Did not mark many, but that doesn't mean much. Will be back midmorning to try again. Good Luck.

Didn't hit MC, but I did do about 6 hours of trolling on the Columbia between I-5 and Kelly Point. One takedown but it was gone before I could get to the rod. I marked very few fish.

There were a horde of boats out. Didn't see anyone get anything but a couple of shaker sturgeon.
