Default columbia steelies

ihave never really fished for steelhead below columbia city.so i was just wondering if marker 72 was a good spot or not?we did fairly this spring for salmon.also what to use and were to fish it. :smile: i am thinking of going tomarrowwith a few buddies.we will be in the black northriver with a g.loomis sticker on the front window.

Usually, I would say 'no' to the spot you are talking about. The reason being is that summertime flows do not provide enough current around [72]. However, the Columbia is very high right now and your idea might be a good one! Might want to drop down and fish off the tip of [70], also.

Most of the summer steelhead fishery in our stretch of the river takes place on the Washington side.

...right Dustin!!!???? ...he's claiming a 20 lber from yesterdays adventure :shocked:
