prayer request for Gordon
Got the call this evening. Mom says the tests @ OHSU for Gordon today indicate the need for brain surgery. He developed an anuerisum (sp) behind his eye from a recent small stroke he suffered, originally did not seem to cause any lasting effects............
they were hoping to be able to treat it with the insertion of a coil of sorts, but todays tests have ruled out this possibility-
Gordon is a mighty fisherman & has spent many a trip out with us these last few years & has been such a blessing for my mom and us as well.
Please pray that he will make the right decision about his treatment for this serious ailment, and that he be given the wisdom & desire to give up smoking.

Thank you all so much for your attention to my request as we prepare for Monday.
The surgery will be done at OHSU where its planned 3 days or so in ICU after the procedure & a few more before heading home.
Gordon's kids as well as my siblings & I will be there with mom.
We know that Gordon is in the best of care, could we offer some prayer for some peace & comfort for my mom as she prepares for this. Her name is Carolyn and always trying to stay so strong for everyone else.
