Default brining for 48hrs?

I got some pre mix brine the kid got his first salmon today and wanted it smoked is it ok to brine it for 48hrs i have work and school Monday but will be able to smoke it Tuesday when i get home from work... would there be a problem bringing it for longer the longest i can wait is tomorrow morning but i have the fillets sitting in the fridge now... anyways hope this made any sense... and someone can help me.. package says 24hrs...
