Default New friend and guide found. (MegaBites)

I always rate DJ as one of the nicest people friendly Guides on the river today and urge all I talk to to Hook up with DJ for Oregon Fish. I now have a new friend to the North.
While dipping today with (Bull) my 4yrold son on the Cowlitz, I witnest what has (in my oppinon)become a rare occurance with todays Professional Guides. Kindness and Respect for others. As I dipped and dipped I saw this guide sitting mingling with the (common folk) on the bank while he waited for a ramp to open. I spend at least as much time as a guide on all rivers in Oregon and see many guides who act like they are all that and a Bag O chips, acting like we (non-guides) are on their rivers. Pete, like DJ was different.
Understanding that the only spot anyone was getting smelt was at the ramp for some reason, Pete slowly and politely loaded his boat. being VERY friendly. He Apaulogized for our disruption. Wow
how many times does that happen. I fininshed my dips and found him stowing his gear in the lot latter on. I stopped to talk ( because I found an Ifish sticker on his boat. I was totally impressed with his demeenor and professionalism. His gear was top drawer and his representation of an Ifish supporting guide was top drawer as well.
If this was how he treated (the common folk) I can only guess a trip with him would be great.
Look him up just My 2 Cents,
Thanks Pete Grace,

This is a great post, thank you, some of us are actually really good honest people and that guide is definitely one of them. Courtesy and respect are lost these days to easy. I just love being on the water and lending a helping hand when I can. Thank You.

It's nice to hear stories like this.

Everyone on the river should just relax and help each other out.

Thanks for the kind words Fire In The Hole  . However, I’ve been notified that these kind words
might be taken as unsolicited advertising and upset some of the other guides and advertisers that are already on the board. This IS NOT my intent to get people upset. I would LOVE to be able to be a paid advertiser, but unfortunately, it’s not a option at this time for Jen as there are numerous folks in line for the same. Yes, I do sport a Ifish sticker on the boat because I feel that the information available here is priceless to the fishing community. In the past several days on the Cowlets I met with more then a dozen folks from Seattle to the Salem area that were more then discouraged with the smelting. I quickly refer them to Ifish as the most comprehensive information source out on the web. I wasn’t trying to promote Ifish in a sense, but trying to help these folks save time and money and be more productive fishing. With respect to all. PLEASE don’t make any posts about my guide business here, until I’m a certified advertiser. Just know I’m out there and give me a call or a wave. Thank You, Sincerely, Pete Grace, AKA Seefood Man
