Native Fish Task Force to Meet Tuesday
PORTLAND - The first meeting of a new task force to create a policy for the management of native fish in Oregon will occur Tuesday, June 18, in Portland. The task force was created in response to public input on a draft Native Fish Conservation Policy.
The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 am to 3:30 pm in the second floor Commission Room of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife headquarters, 2501 SW First Avenue in Portland. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
The agenda includes the following items:
· Introductions;
· Discuss and agree to a decision-making process for the task force to follow;
· Historical perspective and direction by the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission on the Native Fish Conservation Policy;
· Lower Columbia Recovery Plan as a working example;
· Discussion;
· Review proposed glossary of terms for Native Fish Conservation Policy.
