Hy all,,
Back from the Ocean,,
Caught 5 nice Kings today,,but bite ended for us at 9:30 am,,we put first herring in at 8:45,,& it was Krazy busy until 9:30 than they quit biting 4 us,,we caught eleven shakers,,but no more keepers,,bar was rough going out,,but nice & flat coming in at 12:30,,Istill think good bait is the secert,,all of ours was frozen & OLD & SOFT,,I don't know where to get any good bait in the area so good-Luck,,Iam not going back out until July 7th,,when it reopens,,,hope they have fresh bait by then,,,,Lots of luck,,oh it was foggy when we went out,, I do like my new GPS,,,there was a charter boat high & dry on a sand bar just outside marina,,and just starting to re-float when we came back in after noon,,,

Donald,

You should have stayed a little longer in the blue. We didn't get out until 10:00 and it was slow then 1:00 rolled around and wham!! We went through 2 bags of fresh chovies in less than an hour. We ended up with 5 nice keepers and way to many shorts to mention. All at 6 to 15 pulls. Man is it going to be a great fall run this year.

So fellas, can you help me out? Is the ocean open off the mouth for Chinook now, but not Silvers? Then it opens for Silvers as well July 7th?

In other words, I could go down this weekend for Chinook out on big blue?

Bullhead , according to the paper, fishing outside the Columbia closes this Sunday until 7/7. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
