Default Hatchery volunteer work

Seems now New York state is talking about cutting back on Brown Trout stocking because one of the Brown Trout hatcheries had a few workers retire and will not hire new workers because of cutbacks since the 9/11 disaster.
There's been talk of volunteers maybe helping at that particular hatchery. I was wondering what type of help did the state let you folks do?

Trolley, You might contact Jerry Dove, president of Tillamook Anglers. He's very knowledgable about organizing volunteer hatchery help. We're in the middle of a budget crisis and Jerry's doing yeoman's work lobbying the legislature, but drop him a note and then give him some time to get back to you. It would probably help if you have specific questions. Send mail to Jerry: jdovetillanglers@tillanet.com
