Default Where to anchor springer fishing tomorrow?

Hey all,

Suggestions on a good anchor spot for springers tomorrow? I'm taking the boat out for a shakedown, due to boat size my launch choices are pretty much limited to Warren, or to Willamette park. Since I have to break in a new trolling motor, I'm pretty much stuck to anchoring until the motor is ready.

I would also be thinking that I could throw in for some sturgeon.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just going to be me, the wife and the dog.

Mike

Launch at Bayport Marina then head down to the Columbia. Anchor on the WA side of Sand Island in 16 feet of water. Has not been hot but it's bound to pick up. Sturgeon just upstream by Warrior Rock or up in Multnomah Channel. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a good plan. I've seen people fishing there, but never tried it.

Thanks again!!!
